Tsavorite
Tsavorite is a vibrant green gemstone belonging to the garnet group. Its rich green color, often compared to that of emerald, is caused by traces of vanadium and chromium within its crystal structure. Tsavorite was first discovered in the late 1960s in Tsavo National Park, Kenya, from which it derives its name. Despite its relatively recent discovery, Tsavorite has quickly gained popularity due to its beautiful color, good durability, and greater rarity in fine qualities compared to emerald. With a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale, Tsavorite is well-suited for various jewelry applications and is often associated with vitality, growth, and abundance.
